Home and Away inflicted with star exit infection
March 5th, 2010
What is going on?
The speed with which the Home and Away TV show stars are making an exit, it appears as if the soap opera is going to face an actor-shortage problem in coming times. Seems as if our much loved show has been inflicted by star exit infection!
The new names that are going to be struck off from active star cast list are Amy Mathews and Jon Sivewright.
Alas! We might not see them any longer on Home and Away episodes from later part of this year. If you are failing to associate these star names with the characters on the show than let me tell you the pair plays lovely couple Rachel Armstrong and Tony Holden.
A statement coming from a reliable source tried to clarify the reasons behind these new star exits on the cards. It was expressed, “Amy Mathews is definitely going in a few months’ time. Then, with Amy’s character Rachel out of the picture, it was decided Tony should go with her, so Jon Sivewright is leaving too.”
Hey! We have had enough of such kind of clarifications. Firstly, the makers of the series make us fall in love with marvelously crafted characters and then suddenly strike them off. It’s totally unjustified. Earlier too we have seen many stars leaving the show. This list includes Jodi Gordon ( played Martha MacKenzie), Lincoln Lewis (played Geoff Campbell) and Todd Lasance (played Aden Jefferies).
With the number of star exits mounting, the pain of not being able to watch them again on Home and Away seasons is becoming unbearable. I hope this trend is dropped in favor of stability.
One more statement by a source tried to clarify the fans doubts on these exits. It was told that though many lovable characters have been written out in the recent past but most of those departures were triggered by actor’s own decisions to leave the show.
I don’t know what is happening to Home and Away stars. Only they know why they are being so hasty in leaving the series.
